Actually, it looks like Google Image Search let me down: The intent was Phyllis Coates as TV Lois for 1 and Noell Neill as serial Lois for 6. Instead, Google Image in fact gave me the opposite results. Apologies, so those two are correct the first time after all

1. Lois Lane (Adventures of Superman 2nd–6th seasons)
6. Lois Lane (Superman and the Mole Men)

That's not quite it. Remember, every continuity is only counted once, and Mole Men is in the same continuity as the main series. What's a much simpler correction you could make to your earlier guesses?

Don't overthink these two and you'll get them both no problem.

This college is devoted to non-superheroes (or quasi-superheroes at best, no costumes or powers, though some might have advanced skills) and other basically decent types. Some of the below may have at times been villains or at least at odds with a hero but are overall good people (or at least see themselves as do-gooders). 146 characters this round, very few of whom wear any distinct costumes and some of whom are doppelgangers of each other, so this should be pretty easy. Some such characters are being held to the massive over 200 character grab bag round but most (though not all) of the really major such characters are in this round.

Rules I'm playing by this round (note rule 7):
1. If a particular version of a character was played by multiple actors, only one actor is used, not always my own favourite.
2. Conversely the same actor can appear in multiple rules, even in the same continuity.
3. Again, reformed villains okay as long as they weren't in the earlier quizzes.
4. Characters originating in the show or movie are okay.
5. If not created for the show or movie, characters must have been owned by National/DC at the time of the production, as opposed to another comics company.
6. This list doesn't have to be comprehensive. in fact due to space and time, lots of great characters got left out, and some are being held to the grab bag round.
7. I will add in larger versions of images upon request, but not all 146 of them as I will be wanting to hunt down the image again to keep it a decent resolution..

13. Julio Mendez, 1990-1991 Flash series

All villains captured and gone to jail, directly to jail. None of them are allowed to pass Go or collect $200.

I'll update the list later after there are a few more responses. Most of those are correct. However, Killer Moth didn't quite appear on Batman, though you're in the ballpark. Right character, wrong source, though very close.

Yeah, I think if the option is available to enlarge the remaining images, that might help.

Okay, done. For some reason I wasn't able to find the earlier image for 8 (probably the character you were alluding to), but he's so obscure I don't mind giving a clue there via a different image.

If you saw a now deleted thread started by Zelenatpg demanding to know where the Admin is, that user is no longer here. I was already suspicious because I don't exactly hide on this site, so because I have access to his email address I did a search. The one result, in another language, was a threat starter elsewhere promoting a casino, followed by people posting links and thanking him for the info. That was all I needed to know.

Gotta catch 'em all » Collages - Coming Up » Yesterday 1:35 am

Just to give a sense of what I have planed for future collages, and not wanting to highjack the general thread, here is what's to come. I'll delete from the first post as rounds begin and add/adjust as new ideas arise. I'm enjoying these collages enough that I might not go back to existing posters for a while.

DC Live: Remaining Good Guys/Allies: Collage created but numbering post seems to have been accidentally deleted so will probably add from the below

DC Live Grab Bag: List created; this time I used IMDB to jog my memory; over 200, still far from everyone but everyone I feel like adding. Still mostly non-streaming (because over 200) but did add one series that's going strictly non-streaming in 2021. Treating Swamp Thing movies/earlier TV show as all same continuity unless there's evidence they're not (only saw a little of the first show). Adding in serials based on characters who later became DC. I haven't seen Aquaman or Birds of Prey (movie) so limited coverage there unless I watch in the meantime..

The remaining have no list of characters as yet:
Marvel Live - Superheroes (possibly other protoganists to keep the list from being too small)
Marvel Live - Villains
Marvel Live - Everyone Else (and anyone overlooked in above two)
There is less Marvel material, though that's changing, plus my collages have gotten bigger anyway, so those three may be enough for Marvel Live. Streaming okay. Sorry, no Deadpool movies as breaking the fourth wall drives me nuts, but any characters from them who've appeared outside the two movies is fair game. Haven't seen New Mutants yet so limited coverage there unless I watch in the meantime. Nothing originating from upcoming projects as I'm trying to avoid spoilers.

Non-DC/Marvel Live - Superheroes (including characters never seen in comics)
Non-DC/Marvel Live - Other Characters from Superhero Projects
Non-DC/Marvel Live - Characters from Non-Superhero Projects Based on Comics.

DC Animated - Superheroes
DC Animated - Villains
DC

All those are correct. American Scream from the Vertigo series showed up in the Spectre series written by one of the writers in q.13, so it does appear to have been canon in that era

Those are correct (both replies; I missed Loki's reply the first time due to near simultaneous replying). I haven't been reading much of the advance news on the upcoming movie so will leave the bonus question for others.

All new answers correct, list updated. While not the influence Paul Dini normally cites, I wonder if at least subconsciously original Prank influenced Harley Quinn. They're similar in a lot of ways.

Gotta catch 'em all » Gotta catch 'em all challenge #11 DC Live Action - Villains » 10/23/2020 8:11 am

Everyone through Toyman (Lois & Clark) correct (beyond a minor number typo in the Riddler/Gotham pick. In the case of Batman Forever, I mostly agree, though Two-Face in particular was portrayed as a lot dumber than the Joker, which is unfortunate given that Two-Face is normally one of Batman's smarter foes.
This is my own favourite "Kneel before Zod" gag (first 20 seconds of this clip) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQqfZfjDkao

While creating collages takes more time than just numbering images, I'm having a lot of fun making them. I was glad to be able to include more Gotham content this time around. Unlike Smallville, Gotham lacked other superhero activity beyond Batman (and even he just briefly) so here I could finally include a lot of characters from the show.

19.Which hero’s foes constituted a large number of the series’ casualties (even more if count the tie-in from question 7)?
20.Which member of the Squad was a Firestorm character who originally was more of a nuisance than a flat out villain?
21.Whose membership was later negated by a Vertigo series (or at the very least means the team somehow acquired an earlier version of the character)?
22.Which villain group did the team face in #1-2?

Comics » General Comics Trivia » 10/23/2020 7:38 am

6 is correct. Remaining answers:
7.Which super-villain’s real name (which may or may not begin with B) comes very close to a retail chain that sells groceries, etc)? Each has one letter that the other doesn’t.
Boomerang. Real name Fred Myers, which sounds really close to Fred Meyer

8.Which superhero sometimes appeared in Go Go Comics?
Blooperman

16.This Marvel mini-series had two imposters, though one was not revealed to be an imposter during the mini-series
Beyond! Beyonder was revealed to be the Stranger in the story, while Hank Pym was later revealed to be Criti Nol. Going from memory, I think the latter was hinted at but not actually stated

20.Who ran afoul of Mrs. Gofooey during the Crisis on Infinite Earths?
Bat Lash (because of a matter between him and her daughter)

I actually made this poster myself using images I found on the web. Villains, including non-powered criminal masterminds from DC serials, movies, and shows (including pilots). No streaming services. Name the character and the continuity. Actor optional.
Rules I played by when making the poster:
1. If a particular version of a character was played by multiple actors, only one actor is used, not always my own favourite.
2. Conversely the same actor can appear in multiple rules, even in the same continuity.
3. Reformed villains okay as long as they weren't in the earlier quiz.
4. Characters originating in the show or movie are okay.
5. If not created for the show, characters must have been owned by National/DC at the time of the production, as opposed to another comics company.
6. This list doesn't have to be comprehensive. in fact due to space and time, lots of great characters got left out.

There will be a grab bag DC live collage (covering streaming characters and characters who didn't make it into one of the earlier posts, following Superheroes, Villains, and Non-Super Protagonists). If you have any suggestions for characters who missed their slot, PM me so others can't see your suggestion. If I use them, please let others guess at your suggestion.

Like I said in the earlier collage, this time there are 111... hey, where did that extra column come from??

Updated the list. Sara was never Black Canary, but she was Canary and White Canary
79 is the only one left (looks like I skipped over 80). Will Loki sweep the board or will someone else get that one?

I'll update the front page later (in the middle of something else). Most of the new answers are correct, but 43 isn't Mari McCabe, despite similarities in appearance.

46 is correct. While I won't post until this round is finished, the DC Villains collage has 111 characters!

Updated the main page up to Arrow. There's a numbering error for Clark Kent so resubmit please. Due to a numbering error of my own, I gave two characters, both identified, as number 26, so I renumbered movie GL 88 on the key.
Newest answers also correct and will take them off the board

Gotta catch 'em all » Gotta catch 'em all challenge #10 DC Live Action - Superheroes » 10/22/2020 6:47 am

Everyone so far is correct. One of your posts gave me an idea for a new rule:
There will be a grab bag DC live collage (covering streaming characters and characters who didn't make it into one of the earlier posts, following Superheroes, Villains, and Non-Super Protagonists). If you have any suggestions for characters who missed their slot, PM me so others can't see your suggestion. If I use them, please let others guess at your suggestion.

I can think of at least two other heroes I missed who will for sure make it into the grab bag post.

Gotta catch 'em all » Gotta catch 'em all challenge #10 DC Live Action - Superheroes » 10/22/2020 4:09 am

Newest answers correct as well. I made a judgement call in the interest of space and decided the two Batman serials were the same continuity despite the cast changes. If someone wants to provide evidence that they can't be, I might include the earlier versions in a later collage.
