During one of his shows, Jimmy Olsen was transformed into a giant turtle by an alien device. Rickles interviewed Olsen in his turtle form, although he initially believed Olsen was wearing a costume. Superman later arrived and restored Olsen to his human form.

Rickles continued to host his talk show in Metropolis, although he did not have any known further interactions with Superman or Jimmy Olsen.
