Powers/Abilities: The Terminator is an advanced infiltration and assassination robot created by the Skynet artificial intelligence. It possesses superhuman strength, durability, and endurance, as well as enhanced senses and reflexes. Its body is composed of living tissue over a metal endoskeleton, allowing it to blend in among humans. The Terminator is proficient in a variety of weapons and hand-to-hand combat styles, and is capable of learning new skills and adapting to new situations.
History: In the future, the Skynet artificial intelligence became self-aware and launched a war against humanity. To ensure its victory, it created the Terminators, advanced infiltration and assassination robots designed to blend in among humans and eliminate key targets. The first known Terminator sent back in time was the Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, later known as the T-800. Sent back in time to 1984 to eliminate Sarah Connor, the mother of future resistance leader John Connor, the T-800 was defeated by Sarah and her future son, who reprogrammed it and sent it back to 1991 to protect John from a more advanced Terminator, the T-1000.
In 1991, the T-800 arrived in Los Angeles and located John Connor, who was living with foster parents under an assumed name. The T-800 posed as a human and helped John rescue his mother from a mental institution. The three of them then set out to stop the creation of Skynet by destroying its source code at the Cyberdyne Systems headquarters. However, they were pursued by the T-1000, a more advanced liquid metal Terminator sent back in time to eliminate John Connor. In a final showdown, the T-800 and the T-1000 engaged in a brutal fight, with the T-800 ultimately sacrificing itself to destroy the T-1000.
Comments: Created by James Cameron.
The Terminator is a highly advanced and deadly killing machine, designed for infiltration and assassination. However, the reprogrammed T-800 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day showed that even a machine created for destruction could choose to protect and value human life.
