History: Ned, also known as "The Pie Maker," possesses a unique and mysterious ability to bring the dead back to life with a single touch. However, there is a catch: if he touches the revived person again, they will die permanently. Ned's ability has shaped his life in unexpected ways, as he uses his gift to solve murder mysteries and seek justice for the deceased.

Ned owns a pie shop called The Pie Hole, where he creates extraordinary pies and sells them to the public. He leads a quiet and somewhat lonely life, avoiding physical contact with others to prevent accidental deaths. However, his life takes a turn when he reconnects with his childhood sweetheart, Chuck, who was killed under mysterious circumstances. Ned revives Chuck with a single touch, but their relationship becomes complicated as they navigate the challenges of their unique circumstances.

As "The Pie Maker," Ned becomes a private investigator, using his ability to temporarily revive murder victims and question them about their deaths. He teams up with a private investigator, Emerson Cod, and a colorful cast of characters to solve various murder cases and uncover the truth behind each victim's demise. Despite the risks and challenges that come with his ability, Ned remains committed to using his gift for good and finding justice for the deceased.

Powers and abilities: Ned possesses the ability to bring the dead back to life with a single touch. However, if he touches the revived person again, they will die permanently. This ability allows him to temporarily revive murder victims and communicate with them to gather information and solve murder cases. Ned is also a skilled pie maker and investigator, using his resourcefulness, intelligence, and creativity to unravel mysteries and uncover the truth.

Equipment: Ned does not rely on any specific equipment, as his ability to revive the dead is inherent and does not require any external tools or devices. However, he often uses his pie-making skills and knowledge of ingredients to create unique pies that have special effects or properties to aid him in his investigations.

Weaknesses: Ned's primary weakness is the limitation of his ability, as he cannot touch the revived person again without causing their permanent death. This puts him in a constant dilemma and requires him to be cautious with physical contact. Additionally, Ned's complicated relationship with Chuck and the challenges they face as a result of his ability can be emotionally taxing and create conflicts that he must navigate.

Notes: Ned is a fictional character created for the TV series "Pushing Daisies," and his depiction should not be confused with reality. The character represents a unique and whimsical portrayal of a pie-making, crime-solving hero with a supernatural ability. His character adds charm, humor, and mystery to the series, showcasing the unconventional ways in which ordinary individuals can make a difference in the lives of others.

Re: Ned (Pushing Daisies)

Ned has a second limitation: If he doesn't touch the revived being within a minute, a comparable lifeform in the vicinity will die (so if he revives a strawberry, a nearby berry will die after a minute); this does not negate the other limitation.

In addition, when last seen, Chuck was his current, not former girlfriend, though they obviously had to improvise in order to do anything romantic.
