In later stories, she gains access to a Green Lantern ring, granting her the ability to create energy constructs limited only by her imagination.

History: Molly Mayne, better known as Harlequin, has a fascinating history intertwined with the legacy of Green Lantern. Originally introduced as an actress in Alan Scott's life, she became entangled with his superheroic adventures as a member of the Justice Society of America (JSA) on Earth-2.

Early in her career, Molly discovered Alan Scott's dual identity as Green Lantern, the mystically empowered protector of Earth. Fascinated by his heroic deeds, she developed an interest in crime-fighting and sought to join him in his adventures. In secret, she crafted a vibrant costume and adopted the persona of Harlequin, a playful and daring heroine.

As Harlequin, Molly proved herself to be a resourceful and skillful ally to the JSA, using her acrobatic talents and a comically oversized mallet to aid in their battles against evil. Alongside the JSA, she fought against various adversaries, including the Injustice Society and various other supervillains.

During her time as Harlequin, Molly also shared a romantic relationship with Alan Scott, eventually marrying him. Their love story blossomed amidst the backdrop of heroic feats and shared adventures.

In later comic book arcs, an incredible twist occurred when Molly Mayne gained access to a Green Lantern ring. Bestowed with the same powers as her husband, she became a wielder of the green light, channeling the willpower of the emotional spectrum to create energy constructs and fight alongside the Green Lantern Corps.

Personality: Molly Mayne, as Harlequin, exudes a playful and mischievous spirit. She is witty, daring, and unafraid to take risks in her crime-fighting endeavors. Her love for theatrics shines through in her flamboyant costume and use of a comedic mallet as her weapon of choice. Molly is fiercely loyal to her friends and allies in the JSA, and her passion for justice and heroism fuels her dedication to their cause.

Equipment: Harlequin's primary equipment is her oversized mallet, which she wields with skill and flair. The mallet, although comically large, is not to be underestimated, as it packs a powerful punch. Later in her comic book history, she gains access to a Green Lantern ring, allowing her to harness the green light's power to create energy constructs.

Weaknesses: Like her husband, Harlequin's powers are limited by the strength of her willpower. Her non-superhuman status makes her vulnerable to physical harm, requiring her to rely on her agility and combat skills. Additionally, her devotion to her husband and her friends in the JSA can be exploited by enemies seeking to manipulate or harm them.

Summary: Molly Mayne, as Harlequin, brings a lively and colorful presence to the world of Earth-2 and the Justice Society of America. Her acrobatic skills, quick wit, and comically oversized mallet make her a unique and beloved character in the DC Comics multiverse. As a partner to the original Green Lantern, she stands as a testament to the power of love and partnership in the face of adversity. Harlequin's journey from a supportive actress to a daring and heroic adventurer highlights the transformative power of heroism, earning her a cherished place among the iconic characters of the DC Universe.

Re: Harlequin (Molly Mayne)

Prior to reforming she was a member if the Injustice Society, not JSA. Marrying Alan is as close as she ever came to being involved with the GLC.
