History:Susan Foreman was the granddaughter of the mysterious Time Lord known only as the Doctor. Born on the planet Gallifrey, Susan accompanied her grandfather when he stole a TARDIS and left their home world. Her early years traveling through time and space were formative but filled with danger, often under the shadow of the Doctor’s secrecy.
In 1963, they took residence in a London junkyard, where Susan enrolled under the name “Susan Foreman” at Coal Hill School. Her advanced intelligence and strange gaps in cultural knowledge drew the suspicion of her teachers, Barbara Wright and Ian Chesterton. Their investigation led them to the TARDIS, sparking the first televised Doctor Who adventure.
Susan traveled extensively with the Doctor during his first incarnation, witnessing alien worlds, historical conflicts, and battling threats such as the Daleks. Though brave and curious, she was still a teenager and struggled with the instability of life on the run.
Her journey with the Doctor ended during the events of “The Dalek Invasion of Earth” (1964), when the Doctor locked her out of the TARDIS after she fell in love with resistance fighter David Campbell. He believed she deserved a life of her own and left her to begin a new life rebuilding Earth alongside David in the 22nd century.
In expanded media, Susan later married David and had a child, potentially becoming involved in Earth’s defense. Several sources suggest she retained aspects of her Gallifreyan physiology, including regenerative potential, although she was never shown regenerating on-screen. She also occasionally reunited with the Doctor in various timelines and media.
 Height:5'3" (160 cm)
 Weight:110 lbs (50 kg)
 Eyes:Brown
 Hair:Dark Brown
Abilities:As a Gallifreyan, Susan possessed latent abilities associated with Time Lords, though never fully trained or realized:

  • Enhanced Intellect: Possessed advanced knowledge of science, mathematics, and alien civilizations beyond human comprehension.
  • Telepathy: Demonstrated low-level telepathic sensitivity, especially with the Doctor or certain lifeforms.
  • Longevity: A significantly longer natural lifespan than humans.
  • Partial Regenerative Biology: Implied in some continuities, but not explored on-screen.

Accessories:

  • TARDIS Access (formerly): Traveled in the Doctor’s stolen Type 40 TARDIS.
  • Personal Journal: Occasionally kept notes or sketches reflecting her experiences.
  • Earth Clothing: Wore contemporary fashion of the 1960s while on Earth.

Susan Foreman remains one of Doctor Who’s most enigmatic figures: the Doctor’s only confirmed biological family member, a teenager torn between worlds, and the first companion to ever leave the TARDIS. Her legacy continues to resonate throughout Gallifreyan and Earth history.
