And as you guys can see, we're doing our best to make this as unique a book as possible, given that it came out the same decade as the original, Deluxe and Update OHOTMU's. There's going to be a lot of characters in it that have never EVER been covered.

I'm really looking forward this one! The cover is very cool, it brings you immediately back to the 80's of Marvel.
I am happy to see Longshot, I guess that's why he wasn't covered in the All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
And Spaceknights? I thought Marvel couldn't do any Rom entries because of the copyright thing. Anyway, I'm glad to see the Spaceknights have got an entry.

Can't wait for it! Love the cover layout, and glad to see characters like Longshot(one of my all time favorites), Nuke, Rocket Raccoon & Scourge get entries.

Glad to see this one solicited. I have no idea how the sales have been on this line of handbooks so far, but I was ALMOST getting worried we weren't going to get the 80s or the 90s. It just strikes me as awesome that Captain Marvel is in there, as we'll probably get three different CMs for each of the last three decades (that is, if you plan on putting CM Genis in the 90s issue). I was really shocked to see Crystar. I thought he was a licensed character. Does this mean that we could SOMEDAY see a new Crystar comic owned completely by Marvel?

Check the indicia - Crystar belongs to Marvel. Unlike, say, Rom, where Marvel were licensed to do a comic based around a toy, Crystar was Marvel creating a new comic with the specific intent of licensing them to a toy company to do tie in toys.

that is so awesome. i really thought this was another rom-type issue. i'm suprised that no one has tried to bring him back or had a cameo or something. somehow i just picture him in one of alan davis' multiverse-scapes.

Looking forward to this. One minor nitpick though: during the 1980s Wolverine mostly wore his brown costume and that ought to have been his costume on the cover (unless you felt like playing cute and dressing him in the suit he stole from Fang).

Glad you're enjoying them. Might be a few days before the next list only because I'm working on the Thor/Hercules one, and that one, unsurprisingly is proving to be the most complicated one, what with all the 1/2 pagers of characters who had previously gotten longer entries in the hardcovers and other fun stuff. But it will happen.
