History: Dr. Samuel Beckett is a brilliant scientist and quantum physicist who has dedicated his life to researching time travel. After years of research, Beckett developed a machine called the Quantum Leap Accelerator, which he believed would allow a person to travel through time within their own lifetime.
Beckett conducted a test of the Quantum Leap Accelerator on himself, hoping to prove that time travel was possible. However, the test went awry and Beckett found himself "leaping" into the bodies of different people in different time periods. Beckett became trapped in this state of time-travel, unable to return to his own body or time period.
Beckett's consciousness continued to leap through time, inhabiting the bodies of people who needed his help to change the course of their lives. As he leaped, Beckett worked to correct historical mistakes and improve the lives of those around him. Along the way, he was aided by his holographic partner, Al Calavicci, and Ziggy, the supercomputer that controlled the Quantum Leap project.
Powers and Abilities: Dr. Sam Beckett is a brilliant scientist and quantum physicist, with extensive knowledge of time travel and theoretical physics. He is also a skilled martial artist and a proficient marksman.
