History: Maxwell Smart is the top agent for CONTROL, a secret U.S. government agency tasked with stopping the nefarious plans of the international criminal organization known as KAOS. Alongside his partner, Agent 99, and his boss, the Chief, Smart has foiled countless schemes by KAOS, including a plot to launch a nuclear missile at Washington, D.C.

Smart is known for his bumbling and often clumsy demeanor, but his skills and quick thinking have saved the day on numerous occasions. He has faced off against KAOS agents such as Siegfried and Shtarker, as well as other villains such as The Claw and Dr. Yes.

Maxwell Smart's exploits were chronicled in the popular "Get Smart" TV series, which ran from 1965-1970. He has also appeared in various spin-offs and adaptations.
