History: Sonny Bonds is a veteran police officer in the town of Lytton, California. Over the course of his career, he has investigated numerous crimes and brought many criminals to justice.

Bonds gained particular notoriety for his involvement in the case of the Death Angel, a serial killer who terrorized the town. Bonds' investigation eventually led to the Death Angel's capture and conviction.
