History: Bigpaw was a normal grizzly bear living in the Canadian wilderness until it was exposed to radiation from a crashed alien spacecraft. The radiation triggered a mutation in the bear, giving it superhuman abilities and intelligence. As a result, Bigpaw became an ally to Alpha Flight, a Canadian superhero team, and other defenders of the wilderness.

Bigpaw was initially discovered by Alpha Flight member Sasquatch, who was investigating reports of strange radiation in the area. When Sasquatch encountered Bigpaw, he quickly realized that the bear was not a threat and that it possessed extraordinary abilities. Sasquatch helped Bigpaw adapt to its new powers and become a defender of the wilderness, protecting it from hunters, poachers, and environmental polluters.

Personality: Bigpaw is a noble creature with a strong sense of justice and a deep love for the Canadian wilderness. It is fiercely protective of its home and will not hesitate to defend it against those who would harm it. Despite its superhuman abilities, Bigpaw retains many of the traits and behaviors of a normal grizzly bear, including a love for salmon and a tendency to hibernate during the winter months. Nonetheless, it is a loyal ally to those who respect and protect the wilderness.
