History: Tom Servo was built by Joel Robinson and sent into space aboard the Satellite of Love as part of an experiment by the evil Dr. Clayton Forrester to determine the effects of bad movies on the human psyche. Over time, Tom became an integral part of the Satellite of Love crew, alongside his fellow robots Crow T. Robot and Gypsy. After Joel was replaced by Mike Nelson as the show's human host, Tom continued to provide commentary on the terrible movies they were forced to watch.
