Normally I don't post news of people I hadn't heard of before, but RIP cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Details are still coming out but it was a shooting by prop gun, most likely accidental, The story is made even more surreal in that Alec Baldwin was the shooter. Very messed up story in so many ways.
B-Movie studio Troma has signs on set that say, "1. Safety to Humans, 2. Safety to Property, 3. Make a Good Movie." Hollywood productions should also follow that order. No movie or show no matter how good is worth death or serious injury.

Very sad about Dean. He was brilliant in Quantum Leap
RIP Vegar Hoel (Martin in the Dead Snow movies). In a surreal bit of timing I rewatched the second one with a friend just last night. Most of the news stories are in Norwegian; this is the only one I've been able to find in English. Will replace with a better link later.

RIP Marlon Bundo, Pence family rabbit. Subject of books written by Charlotte Pence (drawn by Karen Pence) and by Jill Twiss (of John Oliver's team). Because both books featured fictionalized versions of the rabbit, I think he still counts as a pop culture figure and not just a political figure.
