History: Billy Batson was a young boy who was chosen by the wizard Shazam to become the champion of good, Captain Marvel. Whenever Billy spoke the wizard's name, he was transformed into the adult Captain Marvel, with the powers of six legendary heroes: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. Captain Marvel fought against all manner of threats, both mundane and mystical, as well as his arch-nemesis Dr. Sivana and the Monster Society of Evil.
