Incorrect: The disaffected Viet Nam soldiers Thor fought were the Credit Card Soldiers
Truth: They were the Green Liberation Front.
This error was common in the original Marvel superheroes Role-Playing. it's an understandable error because their armor could be miniaturized into a credit card size and shape and Thor #357 was titled "A New Deal from an Old Deck, or the Credit Card Soldiers". However the name does not appear to have ever been used in story, as fun as it would be to have one of them say, "Credit Card Soldiers... charge!"

A really specific one:
False: In Captain Britain and MI:13, when Doctor Doom and Dracula met, Doom mentioned he had studied under one of Dracula's greatest foes. This is Doom revealing he studied under Abraham van Helsing.
Truth: Doom did mention being a student of one of Dracula's greatest foes. However, this is a reference to Doom studying sorcery under Cagliostro, not a reference to studying under/working with/meeting van Helsing.
How do I know for sure? Because while writing CB&MI13 Paul Cornell occasionally asked the handbook writers some questions so he could ensure his continuity was on point. Understand that Paul's own grasp was pretty darned good, but he was diligent enough to double check things. Having met him at a few British cons, I was Paul's point of contact on the handbooks, so the queries were sent through me. One of the queries regarded checking what personal history Drac and Doom had, so the state of their personal relationship could be correctly displayed. Surprisingly, given the geographic proximity of Latveria and Transylvania, they'd never actually met on panel, but we did tell Paul that Doom had studied under Cagliostro, and that Cagliostro had clashed with Dracula. How can I be sure that the reference in the comic originated from that e-mail discussion? In the same conversation in the comic Dracula disparagingly mentions Doom's lesser titles - Baron of Krozi, etc. - and that full list of titles had been included in the same e-mail exchange with Paul.

Yes, in the rare instance where God does seemingly appear, Marvel will probably quickly state after that that the being encountered may or may not be God, as deities who are actively believed in are tricky when used in fiction; Christians, Muslims, etc. could protest inaccuracies while atheists may feel the writers are trying to force religion on them even if that wasn't the intent. Since Jesus is considered by many to be an aspect of God, you can also add to the list The Friend encountered by Ghost Rider (Blaze).

I find it interesting that Marvel has gotten bolder in recent years about explicitly depicting the One-Above-All—for instance in Jim Starlin's Infinity graphic novels and various works by Al Ewing (Immortal Hulk, Defenders Beyond).

Having seen Deadpool and Wolverine the other day, does anyone have a list of the universe numbers for the Fox Marvel films? I know unlike the MCU most of them are different, and I'm going to you guys as I know you won't include any and all BS from the Wikia. The only one I know off thew top of my head is that Fox's X-Men films are Reality #10,005, which is explicitly used in D&W.
Thank you!

The alternate reality that debuted in X-Men: Days of Future Past has not been numbered yet.

There are a couple more realities seen at the end of Deadpool 2 that also haven't been ID'ed yet. Ryan Reynolds himself appears in one such reality with the Green Lantern script, and there's an infant character from one of those realities, seen only in the extended cut, who no one has found yet in my last Marvel collage so I won't name him at this point.

Thanks to all who responded. So the current Deadpool is the one from the currently-unnumbered post-DOFP universe, while "Dudepeel" is the one from 10005? Did I get that right.
And wow, Battle Fever J. I knew Marvel was involved in its creation but I had no idea it had a reality number. And by extension so does the ENTIRE Toei superhero 'verse since they constantly cross over with each other...

Incorrect: Thanos killed Gamora and Pip the Troll
Correct: Thanos mortally wounded Gamora and lobotomized Pip. It was Adam Warlock who ended their life by taking their souls into his gem,
