Re: Captain Marvel (Earth-S)

I forgot that I had already done a profile on him. But this is the new 500 word format anyway:

CAPTAIN MARVEL (of Earth-S)

Real Name: Billy Batson

Occupation: Superhero

Identity: Secret

Legal Status: Citizen of the United States with no criminal record

Other Aliases: The World's Mightiest Mortal, Shazam

Place of Birth: Unknown

Marital Status: Single

Known Relatives: C.C. Batson (uncle), Mary Batson (sister), Freddy Freeman (adopted brother)

Group Affiliation: Marvel Family, Justice Society of America

Base of Operations: Fawcett City, Earth-S

First Appearance: Whiz Comics #2 (February 1940)

Height: 5'6"

Weight: 130 lbs.

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Black

Powers: By uttering the word "Shazam," Billy Batson transforms into Captain Marvel, gaining the powers of six legendary figures: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury. As Captain Marvel, Billy possesses incredible strength, speed, and durability, as well as the ability to fly, shoot lightning bolts, and create powerful shockwaves.

History: Billy Batson was an orphan who found himself working as a newsboy on the streets of Fawcett City. One day, he was led to a mysterious underground subway tunnel, where he encountered the wizard Shazam. The wizard saw potential in Billy and granted him the power to transform into Captain Marvel, the World's Mightiest Mortal.

As Captain Marvel, Billy became a superhero, fighting against evil and defending the innocent. He was later joined by his sister Mary and his friend Freddy Freeman, who became the superhero Captain Marvel Jr.

Billy and the Marvel Family fought against numerous villains, including the evil Dr. Sivana, the monstrous Black Adam, and the mind-controlling Mr. Mind. They also became members of the Justice Society of America, working alongside other heroes such as the Flash and Green Lantern.

In the 1950s, the popularity of superhero comics waned, and Fawcett Comics, the publisher of Captain Marvel, ceased operations. The character remained dormant for several years until DC Comics acquired the rights to the character in 1972.

In the years that followed, Captain Marvel was reintroduced to a new generation of readers, and his popularity grew once again. He has continued to battle against evil, both as a member of the Justice Society and as a solo hero.

Personality: Billy is a kind and courageous young man who takes his responsibilities as a superhero seriously. He is loyal to his friends and family, and is always willing to help those in need. As Captain Marvel, he is confident and powerful, but also humble and respectful of the power he possesses.

Equipment: Captain Marvel does not use any equipment, relying solely on his incredible powers.

Weaknesses: Despite his incredible powers, Captain Marvel is vulnerable to magic, and can be harmed by spells or mystical attacks. Additionally, he shares the vulnerabilities of his human alter ego, Billy Batson.

Summary: Captain Marvel, the World's Mightiest Mortal, has been a beloved superhero for over 80 years. With his incredible powers and humble personality, he has inspired generations of readers and remains a cornerstone of the DC Universe. Billy Batson's transformation into Captain Marvel continues to captivate readers and remind us that, even in the face of danger and adversity, we can all be heroes.

Re: Captain Marvel (Earth-S)

He wasn't with the JSA and his initial cancellation was probably mostly due to National's lawsuit draining too much money.
