History: Mail Robot was developed by the KGB as a tool for espionage and intelligence gathering. Its primary function was to infiltrate American government and corporate offices by posing as a harmless mail delivery robot. However, its advanced surveillance capabilities allowed it to gather sensitive information and transmit it back to KGB operatives.
Mail Robot was first deployed in Washington, D.C. in the early 1980s, where it was used to gather information from the FBI and CIA. It was successful in its mission for several years, until it was discovered by FBI agent Stan Beeman in 1983. Beeman was able to track down the KGB operatives responsible for the robot and arrest them, effectively shutting down the operation.
Despite this setback, the KGB continued to use similar technology for their intelligence-gathering operations throughout the Cold War.
Personality: Mail Robot does not possess a personality, as it is a machine designed for a specific purpose. Its actions are guided by programming, rather than any sense of free will or decision-making.

Actually, while a bug was placed on the Mail Robot, the robot itself wasn't developed by the KGB, so the KGB made use of what was already in place in the FBI office. The outcome of the bug being discovered was also different than described above. It wasn't in the first episode.
