HISTORY:
Patrick Bateman was born into a wealthy family in Connecticut and attended Harvard University, where he earned a degree in business. After college, he moved to New York City and began working as an investment banker at the prestigious firm of Pierce & Pierce. However, beneath his impeccable designer suits and charming facade, Bateman harbored a dark secret: he was a sadistic and brutal serial killer.

Bateman's killing spree started with prostitutes and eventually escalated to random people he encountered in his daily life. He maintained a meticulously detailed journal documenting his murders and obsessions, and even confided in his colleagues about his activities, but no one believed him or took him seriously.

Bateman's mental state deteriorated as he became increasingly unhinged, eventually leading to him hallucinating and committing even more violent acts. Despite this, he was never caught by law enforcement and his true identity and crimes remain unknown to the public.
