History: Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia, was a ruthless warrior who gained a reputation for impaling his enemies on stakes. He was also rumored to have drunk the blood of his enemies, a trait that would later become associated with the vampire myth. After his death, legends grew around his supposed supernatural powers and he became known as Vlad the Impaler.
Centuries later, a Transylvanian nobleman named Count Dracula purchased a castle in England and began spreading his vampiric influence over the surrounding area. He preyed upon the local populace, hypnotizing them and drinking their blood. Dracula also sought to spread his curse to others, turning several people into vampires.
Dracula was eventually defeated by a group of vampire hunters led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing, who used a combination of garlic, crosses, and wooden stakes to weaken and destroy him. However, Dracula's influence continued to spread, inspiring countless imitators and becoming a staple of horror fiction for generations to come.
