At first, he used the Pym Particles to become the hero known as Ant-Man, but later he also took on the identities of Giant-Man, Goliath, and Yellowjacket. Pym's research also led to the creation of artificial intelligence, including the dangerous Ultron. Despite his many achievements, Pym struggled with personal demons that often led him to make questionable decisions.

Pym's first wife, Maria, was killed by agents of the East German government while he was in the process of defecting to the West. He was later married to Janet Van Dyne, who became his partner in the field as the Wasp. Together, they co-founded the Avengers and had many adventures together. However, their marriage was strained by Pym's insecurity and the revelation that he had created Ultron, who turned against him and the Avengers multiple times.

Pym's mental instability came to a head when he adopted the persona of Yellowjacket and proposed to the Wasp in a fit of delusion. When she rejected him, he became violent and was ultimately defeated by his fellow Avengers. Afterward, he sought therapy and worked to overcome his issues. He later became a respected member of the scientific community and a mentor to younger heroes as a faculty member at Avengers Academy.

Re: Hank Pym

He worked with the Defenders but definitely wasn't a founding member. And Wasp didn't reject him as Yellowjacket and in fact accepted his proposal at the time.
