History: Hyperion is one of the most powerful heroes on Earth-S, a parallel Earth where he serves as a founding member of the Squadron Supreme, a team dedicated to justice and peace. Born on a distant alien world, Mark Milton was the last survivor of his planet, similar to Superman’s origin. His alien race, the Eternals or Utopians, sent him to Earth after his homeworld's destruction. Raised by human parents, he developed a strong moral code, guided by an unwavering belief in protecting humanity and upholding justice. As Hyperion grew, he discovered his incredible superhuman powers, which he used to become Earth-S’s protector. While he initially worked solo, he joined with other heroes to form the Squadron Supreme, inspired by Earth’s heroes and the classic concept of justice. His idealistic vision for peace led him to support a program where the Squadron imposed order and reform on a global scale, an initiative that created divisions within the team and tested his principles. Hyperion eventually faced significant ethical challenges, including clashes with his team and other universes’ Avengers, about whether imposing peace infringes on personal freedoms.
Throughout his history, Hyperion’s journey explores the question of power and responsibility, showing a hero striving to reconcile his nearly limitless strength with his commitment to justice and morality. His leadership, however, is often marked by an inner struggle to maintain his compassion for humanity while dealing with threats that seem to justify more authoritarian measures.

Abilities: Hyperion possesses an array of superpowers, often described as being on par with those of Marvel's most powerful heroes. His superhuman strength is virtually limitless, allowing him to lift massive weights and go toe-to-toe with some of the strongest beings in his universe. Hyperion also possesses incredible durability, making him resistant to most forms of physical and energy-based attacks, as well as near-invulnerability to extreme temperatures and radiation. One of his signature abilities is his enhanced vision, including atomic vision, which allows him to fire highly destructive beams of energy from his eyes. Hyperion also has heightened senses and microscopic vision, granting him superhuman precision and the ability to observe the smallest details in any environment.
Hyperion can fly at speeds faster than sound, reaching the edge of space, and does not require oxygen, food, or water for long periods, making him nearly self-sustaining. His powers are often enhanced by solar energy, as his cells metabolize sunlight similarly to Earth's plant life, giving him theoretically unlimited endurance in sunlight. Due to his alien physiology, he also heals faster than ordinary humans, though his regenerative abilities vary across different portrayals.
Accessories: Hyperion typically wears a distinctive costume that features a red and yellow color scheme with a symbol on his chest resembling a stylized “H.” His costume is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions, though he needs little protection given his powers.Hyperion also occasionally uses specialized Squadron Supreme technology for reconnaissance, transportation, and communications. While he rarely requires weapons due to his physical power, he’s been known to use energy-based tools or Squadron-developed gadgets to support his team or neutralize threats non-lethally. His position within the Squadron Supreme is symbolized by his uniform, which represents both his heritage as a Utopian and his allegiance to Earth-S’s people.
