7. Which Annual series changed its name years after its parent title did?

10. Who was the original Crimson Cowl? Be as specific as possible.
11. Bluebird was a recurring character in which series?

Re: General Comics Trivia

4 Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation
5 Ultimate Comics Spider-Man
9 Ulysses Solomon Archer
14 I suspect you mean Usagi Yojimbo, but he's not a lupine (wolf) samurai but a lepus (rabbit) samurai.
16 Unearthly Spectacular

Re: General Comics Trivia

7. Uncanny X-Men?

4/13/2021 7:24 am  #581

Re: General Comics Trivia

Those are correct (Unearthly Spectaculars is plural) and I did use the wrong term for rabbit. I think Uncanny X-Men Annual only underwent the name change because the newer X-Men series was getting its own annual.

Re: General Comics Trivia

3. Untold Legend of Batman
6. Uncle Dudley Marvel
13. Uncle Scrooge

4/13/2021 5:18 pm  #583

Re: General Comics Trivia

Those are more or less correct. Uncle Dudley is Dudley's nickname and Uncle Marvel is his "superhero" name.
That only leaves:
15.This superhero can turn into one specific kind of animal

Once that one is found (and it's a fairly easy one) the next round will begin.

Whoops, sorry about the Black Pirate error. My memory failed me there.

Re: 1: That's not it. In this case both the title and the specific issue are relevant. That is, any other issue number and the gag doesn't work.

Re: General Comics Trivia

Calling a half day on the last two questions. Forgot to send last night but it's only two questions so I don't think the shorter final reminder time will impact whether people can answer or not.

1. An ad for a specific issue of a specific comic paid homage to commercials for a particular drink. Which comic?
4. Which Dial "H" for Hero superhero identity was a plant reference?

Remaining answers:
1. An ad for a specific issue of a specific comic paid homage to commercials for a particular drink. Which comic?
V #8. In the 1970s and 1980s (maybe later), V8 commercials had people slap themselves and declare "Wow, I could have had a V8!"

DC got playful with that and came up with this ad:

4. Which Dial "H" for Hero superhero identity was a plant reference?
Vicki Grant became... Venus, the Flying Trap!

1-3 are correct.
4 is close enough. The Web original character, The WEB !mpact
6 is incorrect. Both versions of Watchmen were about equally close to the Charlton characters
8-9, 11-13 are correct
14 is incorrect
15-17 is correct
18 is correct so far; just need the issue number
The rest are correct

For 12 I was going to make a "gore for your org" reference, but that probably came from Plasm #0, no Warriors of.
