A really specific one:
False: In Captain Britain and MI:13, when Doctor Doom and Dracula met, Doom mentioned he had studied under one of Dracula's greatest foes. This is Doom revealing he studied under Abraham van Helsing.
Truth: Doom did mention being a student of one of Dracula's greatest foes. However, this is a reference to Doom studying sorcery under Cagliostro, not a reference to studying under/working with/meeting van Helsing.
How do I know for sure? Because while writing CB&MI13 Paul Cornell occasionally asked the handbook writers some questions so he could ensure his continuity was on point. Understand that Paul's own grasp was pretty darned good, but he was diligent enough to double check things. Having met him at a few British cons, I was Paul's point of contact on the handbooks, so the queries were sent through me. One of the queries regarded checking what personal history Drac and Doom had, so the state of their personal relationship could be correctly displayed. Surprisingly, given the geographic proximity of Latveria and Transylvania, they'd never actually met on panel, but we did tell Paul that Doom had studied under Cagliostro, and that Cagliostro had clashed with Dracula. How can I be sure that the reference in the comic originated from that e-mail discussion? In the same conversation in the comic Dracula disparagingly mentions Doom's lesser titles - Baron of Krozi, etc. - and that full list of titles had been included in the same e-mail exchange with Paul.

I've got the answer to #1, but it also answers my own question.
1. Dull and Boring. The Scottish town of Dull in Perth and Kinross is twinned with Boring, Oregon. But in 2013 they added in a third location, Bland in New South Wales, Australia, forming what is now known as the Trinity of Tedium.

6. Tower Bridge
16. Which three locations in which three countries voluntarily formed the "Trinity of Tedium"?

Another few official ones.
In Wolverine#26 and 27 Slyde turned up and was killed by Wolverine, resurrected by the Hand and then killed again. This was presumably intended to be the original Slyde, Jerome Beacher, but there were a couple of problems. One was that Jerome turned up alive almost immediately (and promptly got killed again); however, that's annoyingly common in Marvel (not just resurrections, but utterly unexplained resurrections that seem to have come about because a writer simply didn't know the character had been killed), and so doesn't normally require "Doombotting" (to coin a term). However the bigger concern was that in the Wolverine issues Slyde's costume had only a half face mask rather than his normal full face mask, and his skin was pink; it seems no one told the colorist that Slyde was African American. So it seems we had a different guy in the costume. Luckily there was an excellent candidate - Slyde had been revealed to have a white brother in Spider-Man Unlimited#6 (as Slyde wasn't seen out of costume in that story I suspect that again that no one realized Slyde's ethnicity or else his brother would have been African American). It was proposed to editorial that this brother could have been the one in the costume, perhaps wearing it while the original Slyde was in prison; this was approved and so Matt Beacher was confirmed to be the second Slyde.
In New Avengers#35 Constrictor was seen attending the inaugural meeting of the Hood's criminal army, and joining them. The problem was that he was also playing a much more major role in the Initiative at the same time, and seemed to have genuinely reformed (to some degree). So editorial was asked how we should resolve this - was Constrictor infiltrating the Hood's gang for the Initiative? Was he secretly still criminal and moonlighting? Ultimately it was decided that Constrictor's storyline in Avengers: The Initiative was more important to his character than his presence as merely a face in the cro

An official one. In the original Invaders run we met Iron Cross/Helmut Gruler, a German armored hero, working for his country during the Second World War because he was a patriot and out of a sense of duty, BUT very, very clearly stated to not be a Nazi and to actively dislike his country's current leadership. This was reinforced when a post-war Iron Cross was revealed to have been a member of the V-Battalion from shortly after the war all the way into the modern day, and to have actively helped them with hunting Nazi war criminals, the reason the Battalion was initially formed.
Then in Midnight Sons Unlimited we saw WWII era Iron Cross being a proud Nazi and committing war crimes by deliberately (and with glee) targeting civilians. Invaders Now subsequently again depicted an Iron Cross happy to commit war crimes in the name of the Nazis.
If the V-Battalion post-war stuff hadn't appeared, then a case might have been made that Gruler had at some point accepted the Nazi ideology, but if that had been the case then there was no way the V-Battalion would ever have accepted him into their ranks. The only way it made sense was if someone else had been wearing the armor during the Midnight Sons/Invaders Now appearances, even though it is very doubtful that the writers of those stories had intended this to be the case; more likely they simply hadn't realized they had the character acting so uncharacteristically. Given Gruler wasn't a Nazi it would make sense if he'd lost favor with his masters at some point and been forced to hand over the armor to someone more ideologically in line with the regime. This reasoning was suggested to editorial, who concurred, and a new Iron Cross was born, Oskar Mors.

Looks like I misremembered, but in a way the actual version is even worse: she did love him, but he didn't trust in her love so he had Daniel possess her anyway. One more question comes to mind: Does Daniel have the ability to make decisions himself or is he fully under his brother's control? If the former, then he's a willing partner too, if the latter, Jericho's even more of a monster.
The art is actually by Fred Hembeck in serious mode, and it's the probably the most redeeming aspect of the story. Written by Scott Lobdell.
Iirc, Daniel has both held conversations with his brother and acted both independently and sometime even at odds with him - which suggests Daniel is autonomous at least part of the time.

Marvel Superheroes #1 1990. Brother Voodoo takes control of a woman who spurned him for an extended period of time before he feels bad about it and releases her from her control. Even at that it would be a story in pretty poor taste for a superhero. I'd love to see a story where the Avenges find out and ban him from being a member of the team again; this is far beyond anything Hank Pym pulled during any of his mental breakdowns.
But that in of itself is just a portrayal that makes him look really bad. What makes "They didn't think that through" to me is the way he controls people: by having the ghost of his brother possess them. So when he was sexually assaulting her, and likely raping her, for an extended period of time, he was simultaneously being intimate with his own brother.
Eww. On so many fronts.

In the Flesh. Ran two seasons and a total of nine episodes (3 and 6 respectively for season 1 and 2). Set after the Rising, a zombie apocalypse that was narrowly averted initially by hastily formed local human militias and then by the discovery of drugs that can restore the original human minds of the zombies not destroyed by the militia. Now those suffering from PCD (Partially Deceased Syndrome) are attempting to reintegrate into society, but this isn't easy, both because they are haunted by memories of what they did while flesh-eating monsters and because former militia members are less than happy to be letting "rotters" back into their communities. A surprisingly deep and thoughtful tale, which won multiple awards and had very strong ratings...so the BBC cancelled it after the second season ended on a cliffhanger, with their excuse being that they needed to use the money for more diverse programming. Which turned out to be a really naff reality TV game show called I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse. Seriously, the BBC actually made the excuse that it was part of their remit that they had to make a wider range of shows, and since they already produced Doctor Who then they already had a SF/fantasy genre show and so had to make something to appeal to different tastes. And then they immediately made another zombie show, just a much poorer one.

The Fades. A pre-Agents of SHIELD Iain De Caestecker as a youth who has the power to perceive ghosts ("Fades") and starts having apocalyptic dreams just as a group of angry spirits begin targeting and killing people. Also starred Daniel Kaluuya (later to star in Get Out, Black Panther and Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse), Natalie Dormer (Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones), Tom Ellis (prior to starring in Lucifer), and Joe Dempsey (Gendry in Game of Thrones). One season of six episodes. Won a BAFTA (UK equivalent of an Emmy) for Best Drama in 2012, the year after it aired, had decent ratings, still cancelled anyway.
