After witnessing the death of her boyfriend, Tommy Merlyn, she became embittered and joined Zoom, a speedster villain. Under his influence, she embraced her Canary Cry and adopted the moniker Black Siren, using her powerful sonic abilities to enforce Zoom's rule.

Upon encountering Earth-1's heroes, including Team Flash and Team Arrow, Black Siren initially posed a formidable threat. However, as events unfolded, it was revealed that there remained glimmers of goodness within her. After Zoom's defeat, Quentin Lance of Earth-1 saw a chance to redeem her and bring her to his world.
