Just to give a sense of what I have planed for future collages, and not wanting to highjack the general thread, here is what's to come. I'll delete from the first post as rounds begin and add/adjust as new ideas arise. I'm enjoying these collages enough that I might not go back to existing posters for a while.
In order:
In progress:
Arrowverse Update (currently in round 3 of 4)
Character List started:
DC Live Update: Streaming, Watchmen, Others Who Missed Their Slot (3-parter)
Not yet started:
DC but Not DCU Live: Paradox Press, non-DCU Vertigo, etc (is there is interest there)
Agents of SHIELD Update
Other Marvel Live Update
Indie Live Superheroes Update
Possible projects down the road, but not in any firm order:
Non-DC Marvel Live Projects based on Comics
Non-DC Marvel Animated Projects based on Comics: Depending on what I find, this may be all one post
Vampires - Live and maybe Animated
Zombies - Live/Animated; including zombie fighters so as to not spoil who gets turned
Other humanoid monsters (lycanthropes, Frankenstein Monster variants, Michael Myers variants, etc)
Things will continue beyond this point, but I think that's a good start.

Updated the above. Loki, would you like me to avoid final season Agents of SHIELD characters in the Marvel collages? I'm fine with leaving them out if needed.

Disney+ are apparently going to be adding AoS S7 to their UK lineup starting late next month, albeit weekly so it's take until the new year for all the episodes to air. However, I'm fine with including characters from it in collages - at worst, that'd spoil surprise appearances of characters getting their MCU debut. I can live with that. It's getting stuff like character deaths spoiled that I hate.

Updated my notes on Marvel, including notes on how I've chosen to handle the X-Men movies, which are the same timeline from First Class up until Wolverine arrives from the future (from the X-Men perspective) in Days of Future Past.

Updated the above. Might shuffle the order depending on my mood.
One general thought with the collages: It takes a few hours to create collages especially since I'm now creating lists in advance rather than going from memory so I want the collages to last a bit. Plus I want to make sure everyone has a decent crack at these, since not everyone who might want to participate is going to be on these boards everyday. So what I propose is, no more the 50 guesses per person per 24 hour period. Minor numbering corrections don't count towards the tally but actual incorrect guesses do. so if your first guess is at 1:13 pm/13:13 your time, your 51st guess could not be before 1:13 pm/13:13 your time the following day. Multiple guesses in one post cumulative. Obviously four people working together in the same timeframe could still clear a 187 image collage in a day, but that is unlikely. Does that seem fair to everyone?

You can cut it to fewer than that if you like. I know this is mostly inspired by me, as I do have a tendency to just blitzkrieg through the collages. I'll restrain myself a bit in future, as I really wasn't trying to hog the entire collage.

Okay, let's go with 30 per 24 hour period then. That way most collages should last a week give or take, which gives me plenty of breathing space to create new collages, and will definitely ensure that anyone who wants to play can do so.

Question mainly for Loki and zuckyd1 as the main respondents to the collages, though anyone else who might want to play can chime in: Are you knowledgeable enough with in-house Troma movies for me to do a Troma Universe collage? It's an idea I'm mulling over, as there are a lot of bizarre characters (and not just in the superhero stuff; Stuck on You and Troma's War for example have a lot of distinct characters), but if everyone would be quickly stumped I'll skip that one.
Offline
I'm not really a Troma guy, but don't let that stop you, especially if zuckyd1 is.
Offline
Not really a Troma guy either, but I'd be willing to give it a shot.
Offline
Given that no one is a Troma person, I might just scatter the characters in other collages instead; Troma's War characters could fit into an Action Heroes collage for example.. I'll see how many Troma characters make it to the end of Indie Superheroes and Indie Superheroes' Villains & Supporting Cast. If a lot of them make it to near the end of each round or even stump people entirely, it might mean that a Troma collage would be too hard.

Updated the above. For DC Animated, so far the cut-off is 2006. I know some people here are fans of Brave and the Bold so I *could* include that here, but check the current tallies, particularly the villains before you say yes or no to including that, which would mean I'd also be adding other material from the same timeframe (and yes there were some "not really that evil" villains I actually rejected). I would be open to covering the newer material at a later date regardless.

One update I did got lost: for DC Animated, I am going past 2006 and am up to the present, skipping only a few projects. I'll be using an online number randomizer and will be splitting up at least the Superheroes and Villains collages. TBD if the Allies collage will need to be split.

One question for people who did the collages: I tried to strike a balance between visibility of image and amount of scrolling, since it's nice to see as much of the collage at once if possible. Do people prefer to see more of the image even if it means more scrolling, or are people happy to see more of the costume cropped if it means having to scroll down less? I'm working on part 4 of DC Animated Villains and trying the latter a bit here and there.

With part 1 almost finished, I've decided to show the unnumbered collages for parts 2 to 4 of the DC Animated Villains series (the numbered versions exist, but I don't want any premature guessing). I'm doing so partly to get everyone a sense of who appears in which collage ahead of time, but also as follow up to my previous question. For part 4 I cropped the images more to get more images on a single row, this less scrolling. Let me know if you have a preference for more of image visible/more scrolling or less of image visible/less scrolling. I'll factor any feedback into the DC Animated - Other collages. Images below are subject to change (due to a character showing up twice, etc).

Updated the first post. Here are the continuities so far for the Marvel Animated collages. More will follow, but these are the ones I've added so far to my list of characters (each number below treated as one continuity):

Okay, I think I've come up with about as many characters as are going to appear in the Marvel collages. Not doing Lego, stop motion animation, motion comics, or web shorts where info is sparse. Let me know if you think I'm overlooking anything beyond that. Continuities:

First post updated. Nothing new added but exact order of next collages added.

Since the animated indie superheroes cartoons will be a five-parter, I won't do a full villains/supporting cast this time around (way too many overly obscure characters for that). However, I'll include a few not-quite superheroes (most or all ruled out as superheroes because they cross moral lines) at the end (and maybe a few interesting supporting characters), using letters instead of numbers to show they're a bit separate. At least seven but I might add more to fill in gaps at the bottom.
Offline
Thinking ahead to plans for an Arrowverse collage (live action), I can do it one of two ways and was wondering people's preferences: I can tackle nearly everybody who hasn't been covered yet, which means a multi-parter and lots of obscure characters, or I can just do single collage for now, focussed more on the most important key characters not yet covered, with a few obscure characters tossed in. What would people prefer? Arrowverse will follow Indie Animated Superheroes part 5.
Offline
If no one replies, will go ahead with the multi-part option. so if you want a break from the tougher ones, speak now before I finish compiling the character list.
Offline
Updated the list. Is there interest in the DC Live but not DCU collage for shows/movies based on non-DCU Vertigo characters, Paradox Press characters, etc? If so The Boys updates would probably move from Indie to here, being part of Wildstorm.
Offline
I'm really excited about the next DC Live collage series. Aside from characters who did not make the cut the first time from shows and movies where other characters did appear, there will be characters from Watchmen projects, streaming shows, movies about the actors (the DC Uniiverse aspects not the actors themselves), commercials, parody skits.and unauthorized works (some of parody skits and commercials may also be unauthorized but some movie characters for sure). I don't know how easy it will be for people to guess these, but hopefully people will have fun learning of the existence of some of these.
Offline
I've compiled most of the list but in order to hunt down additional obscure stuff, I'll wait until Arrowverse part 4 begins to actually start building the first collage (looking like a 3-parter).
There won't be another Arrowverse update in later years but will still see the current set to conclusion; if nothing else it will buy me some time with the above project. I'm determined to find even more obscure stuff.

Currently working on part 6 of the Marvel Live collage (part 5 complete). I will do another Indie Live Superhero collage but before that will do a two-parter focussing on a particular character and their world. Multiple continuities. Can you guess who?
